Brain function

Our brains constantly gather information from the environment - an average of about 40,000 stimuli per second. Approximately 95% of the information is obtained through sight, touch, and hearing. All information that enters our short-term memory at a subconscious level. Because not possible for people to notice all that information together, the brain initiate a screening process. The brain looking for things that are relevant and only record information that matches the individual experiences.
Filtered information is forwarded to our active memory (still short term). It was here for the first time and give us focus our conscious attention on such information. This is where we try to understand the meaning of the meaning of that information. If not able to link new information with information that has been there (if the information is reasonable and meaningful)., then it is stored in the memory of our long janga.
Memory refers to the process of obtaining mental impression or knowledge and expertise we have learned. The brain can be said to have unlimited ability to store information. When the brain is learning a new encounter, she undergoes physical and chemical changes. Neural networks are formed and strengthened during the process. Retention refers to the process in which long-term memory to maintain the results of learning in such a way that can be found, identified, and recall accurately in the future.
